When used in conjunction with the Lee Factory Crimp Bench Crimper this die provides a consistent crimp and a leak-free press lockup. When you use the Lee Factory Crimp Only Die all you have to do is adjust the screw to get the desired crimp which is really easy to do as you use the tool infeeding the die while turning the handle. If you use a hydraulic press however you will need a different type of crimper that can heat the cartridge case and crimp the bullet all at the same time. This is a highly efficient method that virtually eliminates errors that are introduced when crimping with a standard crimp die. For this the only way to be sure that your bullets are properly crimped is to use a Bench Crimper.
