These heavy-duty, food-grade Mylar bags are perfect for long-term storage of dry goods and freeze-dried foods, helping you keep items like grains, coffee beans, dried beans and more fresh and protected from light, moisture, insects, dust and debris. By purchasing food in bulk and repacking into smaller portions, you can save money while ensuring your food stays stored properly for extended periods. The 7-mil thickness of the Mylar bags resists puncturing and effectively prevents oxygen and water from entering, while the foil layer blocks light, further preserving flavor and freshness. These flat-sided bags can be vacuum-sealed with a chamber vacuum sealer and can also be sealed with an external vacuum sealer (though with increased sealing time and temperature). Each bag comes with a convenient tear notch for easy opening and they are safe to use in refrigerators and freezers. However, they are not suitable for boiling or microwaving. For optimal preservation, we recommend using oxygen absorbers (300-500cc per bag). The pack contains 50 bags, offering plenty of storage space for your long-term food storage needs.
