Description
The Leupold VX-5HD Gen 2 3-15x44mm is a variable-power rifle scope for hunters who need fast target acquisition at low power and precise identification at longer range. Its second focal plane Duplex reticle has thick outer posts that narrow to a fine center crosshair, so the crosshair keeps the same visual size as magnification changes.
The scope has a 44mm objective, a 30mm main tube built from aircraft-grade aluminum, and a matte black finish. It weighs 19.9 ounces and measures 13.5 inches long. It offers 3.8 inches of eye relief, an 8-foot field of view at 100 yards at 3x, and 85 MOA of windage and elevation adjustment. A side-focus parallax adjustment sharpens the image across distances.
Leupold's Guard-Ion lens coating sheds water, oil, and debris, and the scope is fog-proof, shock-proof, and waterproof. It mounts on a 30mm tube rifle setup.
