The IC-SPR Upper Receiver is manufactured using the highest quality materials and comes packed with LWRC exclusive features. The heart of the IC-SPR Upper is the short-stroke gas piston system, which builds upon the original Stoner design with a variety of improvements. One of which is the elimination of hot gasses being vented into the receiver and bolt carrier group, thus reducing the required cleaning regiment. The IC-SPR also comes standard with a nickel-boron coated bolt carrier for unmatched resistance to wear and corrosion while also providing permanent lubricity. The IC-SPR Upper Receiver is outfitted with a heavy-profile, cold-hammer forged barrel with a black Nitride treatment. Available barrel lengths include 14.7", and 16.1", each of which features a unique spiral fluting. The spiral fluting not only looks good, but also reduces weight by up to 20% and provides more surface area to help cool off the barrel faster after multiple shots. Additionally, the IC-SPR Upper features a 12" user configurable rail system with individual rail sections allow the shooter to place accessory rails where they are needed while maintaining its low profile ergonomic fit and function. Gas-piston system can be accessed quickly by loosening two thumb screws and removing the top rail section.
