It utilizes LWRC's proprietary direct-impingement operating system and keyless bolt carrier design to deliver maximum reliability in harsh conditions. Each component has been considered and enhanced compared to mil-spec ARs, like the monoforged upper receiver with integrated rail base, fully ambidextrous lower receiver, and nickel boron-coated bolt carrier components for unparalleled wear resistance and lubricity. The charging handle, mag release, bolt catch, and safety can all be operated by both right- and left-handed shooters. Every barrel is cold hammer-forged using 41V45 steel alloy treated with NiCorr surface conversion technology that is permanently lubricious and incredibly wear-resistant. LWRC's cold hammer-forging process delivers perfect rifling devoid of tool marks, stronger and denser than any other process. In fact, LWRC makes about 90% of the components in-house, guaranteeing a level of quality control not common to other ARs in its price range.
