Lyman Double Cavity Round Ball Mould .451" 44 Cal

Lyman Round Ball Mould Features The Lyman Round Ball Mould is machined from steel and built with two cavities allowing the caster to produce a pair of .451 inch round balls with every pour. Lyman s precision machining keeps sprue to a minimum which matters because excess sprue can throw off the weight consistency that accurate shooting depends on. Consistent repeatable round balls out of this mould translate directly into tighter groups downrange for muzzleloader shooters. The steel construction stands up to repeated casting sessions holding its dimensions pour after pour without degrading. This mould ships without a handle so casters will need a compatible Lyman handle set to use it comfortably over a melting pot. Round ball casting remains a staple of traditional muzzleloading and black powder shooting where cost savings and control over projectile quality matter to serious shooters. Lyman s reputation for precision moulds goes back generations and this .451 round ball mould continues that tradition for today s black powder enthusiasts. Shooters loading patched round balls for hunting or target work will appreciate the consistency this mould delivers.
