Manufactured exclusively in 1970 to commemorate 100 years of Marlin production (18701970), this limited-run special edition is a beautifully distinct variation of the absolute benchmark in rimfire lever-actions. This rifle features a sleek 20-inch tapered octagon barrel paired with a traditional straight-grip walnut stock. As a proper centennial model, it stands out with its gorgeous factory brass accents, including a polished brass forend cap and a brass buttplate. The right side of the walnut stock hosts an inlaid brass plaque reading "39 Century Ltd 100 Marlin Years," while the right side of the receiver features an elegant inlaid brass Marlin cowboy medallion. Condition: Very Good. This rifle is a fantastic example of a gun that was used, loved, and exceptionally well cared for over the last 50+ years. The original factory bluing still shines beautifully across the barrel and frame. In the spirit of complete transparency, there is minor, honest finish wear on the high spots of the octagon barrel from normal handling. There is also very minor surface pitting visible on the left side of the receiver. The premium walnut furniture is solid and structurally flawless, showing only minor, expected handling pressure dings. The action remains smooth-as-glass and it functions perfectly. Optic & Accessories: Mounted on top is a vintage Swift 4x fixed-power rimfire scope. While the scope is a standard, period-correct shooter's optic rather than a primary collector's selling point, it functions exactly as it should, offers clear glass, and makes for a fantastic target or small-game setup if you choose to leave it mounted.
