Description
The Marlin Model 60 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered for the economical .22 Long Rifle cartridge. Introduced in 1960, the Model 60 was one of the most popular .22 rifles ever produced; over 11 million units were built before Marlin ceased production in 2020! It's known for its reliability, accuracy, and affordability. This rifle has a 19" micro-groove-rifled barrel with 14-round tubular magazine set in a black synthetic stock and features a raised comb and molded checkering on the pistol grip, forend, and butt. The serial number dates it to the early 2010's, and is thus absent of any Marlin JM-stampings. The top of the receiver shows some obvious marks and scratches along the rails where a sight or scope was previously installed on the 3/8" rimfire scope rail. The elevator-adjustable rear sight has taken a pretty strong bump at some point and is slightly bent to the left. This rear sight is paired with a fixed Patridge-style front blade sight with serrated ramp. There are also some small spots of surface rust under the rear sight plate. Otherwise, the finish and stock are in good condition and this would make an affordable plinker, or perhaps a first gun for the young shooter. No box or case is included.
