The Maxim Defense PDX is a compact AR-platform pistol chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO and 223 Remington, built for defensive use where a short, maneuverable firearm is needed. It is described as developed from the SOCOM PDW solicitation.
The pistol has a 5.5-inch barrel with a threaded muzzle and a Maxim HATEBRAKE muzzle device intended to reduce recoil and flash.
