MDT AICS Short Action Magazine 223 Remington 10-Round Steel Black

The MDT AICS Short Action 10-round magazine is a steel rifle magazine for AICS short action rifles. It is chambered for 223 Remington, 5.56x45mm NATO and 300 Blackout, and is finished in black Cerakote Elite inside and out. The steel body is nitrided for hardness, and the Cerakote coating is intended to resist corrosion and reduce friction.

The magazine uses a double stack to single feed transition, which makes it about 3/4 inch shorter than a standard AICS 10-round magazine, easing magazine changes while prone. Polymer feedlip inserts extend about 0.5 inch past the metal feedlip backer to retain the round longer. Two internal ribs reduce friction between the cartridge and the magazine body.
