The MDT AICS Short Action 3-round steel magazine is a detachable box magazine built to the AICS pattern for short action bolt-action rifles. It is chambered for 300 WSM and 6.5 PRC cartridges and is intended for precision and long-range shooting platforms.
The magazine body is made from high strength steel that is nitrided for surface hardness. It is finished inside and outside with Cerakote Elite in black, which the manufacturer describes as improving friction reduction and corrosion resistance. Its double stack to single feed transition gives reduced overall height compared with the industry standard, and the listed cartridge overall length is 2.955 inches.
The magazine fits AICS short action rifles chambered in 6.5 PRC, 270 WSM, 7 RSAUM and 300 WSM.
