Description
The MDT AICS Short Action magazine is a detachable 5-round polymer box magazine for bolt-action rifles built on the AICS platform. It is chambered for 308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor and is finished in black. It is designed for MDT TAC21, ACC, ESS, LSS-XL, XRS and LSS chassis systems, as well as other M24-type chassis and bottom metals.
The magazine body is molded from polymer with a high glass content and uses a tempered steel spring. The manufacturer notes that the polymer is not unbreakable. Fitment is not universal: it is not compatible with the Winchester XPC inlet, and some Winchester Model 70 applications may require fitting. Several other chassis systems are reported to work, though some may need adjustment.
