Description
The MDT HNT26 is a folding chassis system for the Remington 700 short action, built for hunting rifles. It is sold as a complete system that includes a magnesium chassis base, a carbon fiber grip and a foam-filled buttstock. The chassis body is machined from AZ61A magnesium alloy, and the foam-filled stock is intended to dampen sound, vibration and felt recoil.
The HNT26 uses a V-block bedding system with a free-floating barrel and accepts barrels up to 1.25 inches in diameter. Length of pull and comb height are adjustable, and the vertically adjustable cheek riser has a soft-touch foam pad. The chassis is compatible with AICS-style magazines and includes a low-profile magazine latch that sits inside the trigger guard. Front and rear QD and sling swivel mounts are included, and the right-hand folding design is finished in matte black. The system weighs 1.63 pounds.
