Description
The Mec-Gar Optimum is an 18-round replacement magazine for the Sig Sauer P226 chambered in 9mm Luger. It is built for shooters who need a reliable spare or replacement magazine for this pistol.
The magazine body is carbon steel with a blued finish and an anti-friction coating to help feeding. Its springs are high tensile spring wire with reinforced coils and stiffening folds to increase thrust force. The base is either a fiber-fill nylon or heat-treated steel design intended to withstand drop and slap testing. Mec-Gar notes the body is formed to close tolerances from AISI 1010 carbon steel.
The magazine is black and fits the Sig Sauer P226 in 9mm.
