The LUDT (Large Underwater Demolition Team) boasts an explosive deployment mechanism not commonly found in a knife of this size. The Microtech LUDT is a modern iteration of Microtech's first knife, the UDT, which was built with powerful automatic action that could fire the blade while underwater. The first version of the knife was produced over twenty years ago, and there have been a lot of little changes and improvements since then.
