Description
The Midland Model 2100 is a budget-friendly bolt-action rifle produced by Parker-Hale during the 1970s and 1980s. It was manufactured as an economy alternative to their standard line of Mauser-based sporting rifles. They were built using an imaginative mix of surplus and commercial parts, featuring an investment-cast receiver designed to accept a modified Mauser-pattern barrel and trigger group paired with a surplus US M1903A3 Springfield-style bolt assembly. When Parker-Hale went through financial distress and wound down its UK rifle production in the early 1990s, an American company Gibbs Rifle Company bought the remaining machinery, names, and massive inventory of leftover parts. This rifle was assembled by Gibbs in 1992.
