Description
The Midwest Industries Slim Line is a free-float handguard for the AR-15 platform, designed to surround the barrel without contacting it so that the forend does not influence barrel harmonics. It mounts to the receiver with a barrel nut and is intended for shooters who want a slim profile with M-LOK attachment points.
The handguard measures 10.5 inches overall, with an outside diameter of 1.5 inches and an inside diameter of 1.3 inches. It is machined from 6061 aluminum and finished in black with a Type III hardcoat anodized coating. Three sides carry M-LOK slots, a polymer M-LOK rail with five slots is included, and two integral anti-rotation QD sling sockets are provided.
The package includes the barrel nut, screws, and barrel nut wrench needed for installation. The torque plate is made from heat-treated 4140 steel, and the handguard is fully deburred and dehorned.
