Produced from 1984 through the present. They were made for the French Military and Police for precision long range shooting. These were used from the mid 1980's in many conflicts including the war in Afghanistan and the Gulf War. Designed for shooting targets up to 800 meters or 874 yards. Features include a pivoting bi-pod that allows for rapid target acquisition in rough terrain and a free floating barrel with a thermal shield to hide the heat of the barrel from thermal optics.
