Mossberg 183 D-A Shotgun, .410 Gauge, 26″ Barrel

The Mossberg Model 183D-A chambered in .410 Gauge is a classic, utilitarian bolt-action utility shotgun built by O.F. Mossberg & Sons. While standard factory barrels for the 183 series typically measured between 23" and 25" depending on the specific model suffix and choke application, configurations featuring a 26" overall reach (often incorporating the external choke adapters) are highly recognized small-game hunting implements. The "D-A" suffix is historically significantintroduced in 1948, this specific sub-model added a left-hand side extractor to the bolt face to vastly improve empty casing extraction and ejection over the original 1947 baseline design.
