Description
The Mossberg 590 Nightstick Walnut is a 12 gauge pump action shotgun built on the Remington 870 platform, intended for home defense and close-quarters use. It has a walnut pistol grip on a synthetic stock, paired with a corn cob forend that includes a strap for secure grip during rapid pumping.
The 18.5-inch barrel uses a cylinder bore choke, which produces a wide shot spread suited to short-range engagements. The shotgun has a blued finish, a fixed front bead sight, and weighs 5.25 pounds with an overall length of 26.5 inches. Capacity is 6 rounds in a 3-inch chamber.
The 590 Nightstick accepts 12 gauge 3-inch shells. Its Remington 870 platform compatibility covers the design it is based on.
