Description
The Mossberg 590 Persuader is a 20 gauge pump-action shotgun built on the Remington 870 platform. It is offered for personal and home defense use, with a matte blued finish and a synthetic stock.
The shotgun has an 18.5-inch barrel chambered for 3-inch 20 gauge shells and holds 6 rounds. It uses a bead sight and an ambidextrous top-mounted safety, with an overall length of 39.5 inches and a weight of 7.88 pounds. The raw retailer description also cites dual extractors, twin action bars, and a tri-rail forend for accessory mounting, but the chokes and stock configuration are not otherwise specified here.
Because the 590 Persuader uses the Remington 870 platform, parts and accessories designed for that platform are generally applicable, subject to confirming compatibility for a specific model.
