Description
The Mossberg 590 Shockwave is a 20 gauge pump-action shotgun built on the Remington 870 platform. It uses a synthetic bird's head grip and a corn-cob style forend with a carry strap, and the finish is blued.
The 14.38-inch barrel and 26.5-inch overall length give it a compact profile, and the gun weighs about 4.95 pounds. It chambers 3-inch shells and holds 5 rounds in its tube magazine. A bead front sight is fitted, and the top-mounted safety is ambidextrous, so it can be operated by left- or right-handed shooters. The magazine cap has a clean-out design for access to the tube.
