Museum Replicas Jungle Carbine Bayonet Blade 12in. MRP. 75". This bayonet blade is a replica of the blade found on the Vickers "Ashley" carbine bayonet. The bayonet is unsharpened and has a guard and spacer preventing unintentional deployment. The bayonet is fitted with a triangular "spade" (modified leaf spring) handle with double brass rivets and brass pistol bayonet scabbard. Carbine bayonet blades were used to cut and thrust in addition to allowing the butts of the gun bayonets to be removed from the gun barrels. The bayonet was also used to lop off the heads of opposing forces heads. This version of the bayonet is fully sharpened and coated with a rust resistant black coating.
