An Arthur Howell & Co. 12-gauge shotgun is a vintage British side-by-side (SxS) shotgun built by a lesser-known but well-regarded trade gunmaker from Birmingham, England. Arthur Howell began operations in 1909 at 28 Weaman Street and officially changed the firm's name to Arthur Howell & Co. in 1917, remaining in business until around 1957. Because Howell's records were destroyed after his death, these firearms are treated as highly collectible pieces of classic British gunmaking history.
