The Norinco/Polytech 386 Hunter is a rare gem for any firearm enthusiast or collector. This semi-automatic rifle, chambered in the versatile 7.62x39mm caliber, showcases the robust and reliable design that Norinco/Polytech is known for. With its blued finish and checkered wood sporter stock, this rifle is not only functional but also a piece of firearm history. It's a rare milled AK sporter rifle made by Polytech (Factory 386) and sold by Norinco for US import, making it a highly sought-after addition to any collection. The Norinco/Polytech 386 Hunter was produced by the Chinese state-owned Norinco corporation and imported into the United States by Poly Technologies (Polytech). This rifle mirrors the design characteristics of military rifles while being tailored for civilian sporting and hunting applications. The 7.62x39mm caliber, the same used in the iconic AK-47, ensures reliable performance whether you're at the range or in the field. Its 20-inch chrome-lined barrel provides durability and accuracy, while the rear shrouded flip-up tangent apertures and front ring/post sights ensure precise targeting. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, Norinco/Polytech rifles gained popularity in the US for their performance and affordability. However, the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban significantly restricted the importation of these rifles, making the 386 Hunter a rare find today. This rifle's combination of historical significance, robust design, and reliable performance makes it a must-have for collectors and shooting enthusiasts alike. Don't miss the opportunity to own a piece of firearm history with the Norinco/Polytech 386 Hunter. Its unique blend of civilian and military features, coupled with its rarity and excellent condition, makes it an invaluable addition to any collection.
