Description
Recognized as the top prehospital tourniquet in the February 2008 Journal of Trauma supplement, the patented C-A-TA(R) is a proven, 100% effective one-handed tourniquet validated by the U.S. Army's Institute of Surgical Research. Testing demonstrated its complete occlusion of extremity blood flow during significant hemorrhage. The Gen 7 C-A-TA(R) features a robust windlass system with a patented free-moving internal band for true circumferential pressure. Once tightened to stop bleeding, the windlass securely locks and is further stabilized by a hook and loop retention strap for reliable pressure during movement.
