Our steering solutions provide the autopilot function without the need to change from mechanical steering to hydraulic steering. Please read the operating manual carefully as there are a few small components that could cause strain or damage if they are installed incorrectly. We provide the installation with as few extra parts as possible but in most cases replacement parts will be required. Customers with mechanical steering systems will require an 'X' cable fitting. The X cable simply slips over the existing rudder interfering between the drive and the steering column. This is the 'X's which are fitted to the steering column.
