Otis Ripcord Bore Cleaner 243 Caliber/6mm 36"

The Otis Ripcord Bore Cleaner is a one-pass rifle bore cleaning rod designed to be pulled through the barrel from breech to muzzle, so no gravity feed is needed. It is intended for .243 caliber (6mm) bores and can be used at the range or in the field while the barrel is still warm.

The cleaner uses a helix-shaped rubber core that presses a braided Nomex surface against the bore and engages the rifling for an aggressive clean. The Nomex fiber surface is rated for heat up to 700 degrees F. The cleaning section is 10 inches long, the overall length is 36 inches, and the thread pitch is 5-40.

The Ripcord has 8-32 threaded ends to fit Otis cleaning components, and a bore brush can be attached for a more thorough cleaning. This listing includes the Ripcord only.
