Description
Parker Brothers 12 Gauge Side by Side Shotgun Parker Brothers hammerless side by side shotgun chambered in 12 gauge with 30-inch barrels. This classic American double features a boxlock action, double triggers, solid top rib, front bead sight, splinter forearm, and a checkered walnut pistol-grip stock. The receiver has aged to a mostly silver and gray appearance with simple decorative borders and light engraving. The barrel finish has developed a dark brown patina with scattered finish loss and small areas of oxidation. The walnut stock and forearm retain attractive color and defined checkering, with handling marks and finish wear consistent with a vintage field shotgun. The 30-inch barrels provide a long sighting plane and steady swing suitable for traditional field and sporting use. The slim splinter forearm and double-trigger arrangement reflect the classic American double-gun design for which Parker shotguns are known. This shotgun is in good condition for its age. The metal shows finish loss, patina, scattered oxidation, and normal handling wear. The wood shows scratches, impressions, and finish wear while remaining presentable. The Parker Brothers markings remain visible. Before firing, the chamber length, barrel steel, bore condition, wall thickness, choke constrictions, stock integrity, and action lockup should be verified by a qualified gunsmith. Ammunition selection must be appropriate for the barrel construction and chamber dimensions.
