Description
The Patriot Ordnance Factory Enhanced Anti-Tilt 6-Position buffer tube is a receiver extension for AR-15 platform rifles chambered in 223 Remington. It is designed to keep the bolt carrier supported by the tube, including when the bolt is forward, which is intended to reduce carrier tilt and wear on the buffer tube.
The tube is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a MIL-A-8625F Type III Class 2 flat black hard anodize finish and follows the mil-spec 1.148 inch diameter. The buffer-detent button also acts as a lock to limit rotation and loosening. Three additional drain holes are included for use in marine environments.
It fits AR-15 rifles and P415/P416 rifles with a 6-position buffer tube, and P308 rifles manufactured before October 2012 that used a 6-position anti-tilt buffer tube. Newer P308 rifles use a 7-position tube and are not compatible.
