The Patriot Ordnance Factory Straight Drop-In is a single-action trigger group for AR-15 style rifles, built as a complete unit that installs into the lower receiver without fitting. It is intended for shooters who want a lighter, crisper trigger pull than a standard mil-spec unit provides.
The housing is machined from 6061 aluminum and finished in red anodized. The trigger, disconnect and hammer are steel and nitride heat treated to 70 Rockwell for hardness and corrosion resistance. The pull is rated at 3.5 lb and is individually inspected. Rubber urethane feet hold the assembly snug in the lower.
The unit fits AR-type lower receivers built to mil-spec dimensions and POF-USA ambidextrous lowers. Stainless steel anti-walk pins are included for both lower types. The manufacturer does not recommend use in pistol-caliber firearms.
