Description
The Phase 5 12GSF Low-Drag Shotgun Follower is a replacement magazine follower for 12-gauge semi-automatic and pump shotguns. It is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum bar stock and finished in green anodizing with white lettering, and it has a center hole that lets the user confirm by sight and touch that the magazine tube is clear.
The follower has a reduced bearing surface, about one third that of a stock follower, which the maker says reduces binding and allows smooth feeding. Its 7075-T6 construction is listed as about 80 percent stronger than 6061-T6 aluminum.
It fits Benelli M2 and M4, Mossberg 930 and 500R, Remington 1100 and 11-87, Stoger M3000, and other 12-gauge semi-automatic shotguns. It works with factory 12-gauge magazine and extension tubes that lack spring and follower retention dimples; otherwise the dimples must be removed or the magazine tube replaced.
