Description
The Primary Weapons Systems MK116 MOD 2-M is a complete AR-15 upper receiver chambered in .223 Wylde with a 16.1-inch barrel. It uses PWS's long stroke piston system with a three-setting adjustable gas block, which reduces the fouling and heat that a direct impingement system sends back into the action.
The barrel has a 1:8 twist rate suited to a range of .223 Wylde bullet weights and a mid-length gas system. The FSC 556 muzzle device manages recoil and flash. The 15-inch PWS PicLok handguard accepts Picatinny and M-LOK accessories on a free-float rail, and the upper weighs 4.8 pounds. It includes a Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle and is finished in Type III Class 2 hard-coat anodize.
