Description
The Pro-Shot Micro-Polished 1-Piece Stainless Steel Cleaning Rod is a 26-inch bore cleaning rod for .22 to .26 caliber rifles, including 22 LR. It is made from stainless steel and finished with a mirror-polished surface that the manufacturer says resists picking up abrasive grit and fouling inside the bore.
The rod is manufactured with a #8-32 thread pitch, which accepts standard cleaning accessories such as bore brushes and jags without an adaptor. Its handle is designed to let the rod rotate, so a bore brush can follow the rifling and clean the grooves fully.
The rod is a single piece with a centerless ground, polished finish. Stainless steel is described by the manufacturer as slightly less hard than barrel steel.
