Proof Research Sendero 7mm PRC 20" Carbon Fiber Barrel

Proof Research Sendero Barrel Features The Proof Research Sendero Barrel is built from carbon fiber a material that dramatically reduces weight compared to a traditional steel barrel without sacrificing stiffness or accuracy potential. Chambered in 7mm PRC a modern long-range cartridge designed around heavier high ballistic coefficient bullets the barrel pairs well with precision bolt action builds focused on extended engagement distances. A 1:8 twist rate is matched to stabilize the heavier bullet weights that make the 7mm PRC effective at distance keeping those long high ballistic coefficient bullets stable well past typical hunting ranges. The carbon fiber wrap also helps dissipate heat more evenly than bare steel which can help maintain accuracy across longer strings of fire a real advantage for shooters working through a magazine on the clock or on a hot range day. Machined as a pre-fit barrel with Lone Peak Arms drop-in compatibility the Sendero simplifies installation for builders working with a matching action reducing the gunsmithing time typically required for barrel swaps. Five groove rifling provides a proven stable bullet path through the bore for consistent accuracy shot after shot a rifling style with a long track record in precision rifle barrels. A 5/8x24 thread pattern at the muzzle accepts standard muzzle devices and suppressor mounts without requiring custom machining giving a builder the option to add a brake or can without a trip to the gunsmith. At 20 in length the barrel strikes a practical balance between the velocity a longer 7mm PRC barrel can deliver and the handling of a shorter more maneuverable rifle. The Proof Research Sendero Barrel is a lightweight precision-built option for sale at ARMSAGORA for long-range shooters building a dedicated 7mm PRC rifle around a Lone Peak Arms compatible action.
