Proof Research PXT Sendero 308 Win 26" Carbon Black Barrel

Proof Research Sendero Barrel Features The Proof Research Sendero Barrel is built in carbon fiber giving bolt-action rifle owners a significant weight reduction over a comparable steel barrel of the same length and contour. Chambered in .308 Win the 26 length is well suited to extracting the most velocity and accuracy potential from the cartridge whether for hunting long-range competition or precision rifle use. The Sendero contour balances barrel stiffness against weight keeping the muzzle steady under repeated strings of fire while remaining comfortable to carry in the field. A 1:10 twist rate handles the full range of common .308 Win bullet weights without over or under stabilizing typical loads. Five-groove rifling is cut for consistent bullet engagement and accuracy shot after shot supporting the kind of repeatable precision that Proof Research barrels are known for. Supplied as a blank this barrel allows a gunsmith to fit and chamber it to the builder s specific action and preferred chamber reamer. Carbon fiber barrel construction also dissipates heat differently than steel helping to reduce the point of impact shift that can occur during a long string of fire. This Proof Research Sendero carbon fiber barrel is available for sale at ARMSAGORA for precision rifle builders upgrading their .308 Win platform.
