The .578x28 thread pitch with .48 bore is purpose-matched to pistol-caliber carbine and suppressor-host platforms commonly threaded at this pitch and the FHD s design supports compatibility with Atlas Atlas XL and Plan B mounting systems for broad suppressor flexibility from a single muzzle device. Enlarged rear wrench flats simplify installation and ensure proper torque engagement at the recommended 15-25 ft-lb range without risk of rounding or damaging the muzzle device during tightening. The black nitride 17-4 PH suppressor muzzle device achieves approximately 67 HRC surface hardness through the nitride treatment process providing superior wear resistance corrosion protection and a consistent black appearance through repeated suppressor attachment cycles and sustained heat exposure.
