Remington 1917 30-06 Springfield 26" Bolt Action Rifle

The M1917 Enfield (frequently called the Remington 1917) chambered in .30-06 Springfield with a 26-inch barrel is one of the most rugged and historically significant battle rifles ever issued to United States forces. Often overshadowed by the M1903 Springfield, the M1917 was actually the most widely used American rifle of World War I, equipping roughly 75% of the American Expeditionary Forces in Europeincluding legendary soldiers like Sergeant Alvin York. Modified Mauser-style bolt action. Unlike the standard American Mausers, it features a cock-on-closing mechanism (inherited from British Enfield architecture) which allows for exceptionally fast cycling during rapid fire.
