REMINGTON ~ 700 LH BDL ~.338 WINCHESTER

This rifle was manufactured in March 1990, aligning with the receiver's "C" serial prefix and bbl code "AK." Updated Specifications & Barrel Configuration The 20-1/2 inch barrel length indicates that this configuration is distinct from a standard factory cataloged 700 BDL Magnum. Remington did not catalog a standard production LH BDL in .338 Win Mag with a 20.5-inch barrel length. There are two primary possibilities for this specific physical layout: Factory ordered and installed barrel, or... A Professional Barrel Trim (Most Common): The original factory-issued 24-inch magnum barrel was later professionally cut down to 20-1/2 inches to maximize handling, tracking, or to serve as a fast-swinging "guide gun" or brush rifle for large game. The muzzle has been trimmed to nearly flush with the front sight. The gun itself is actually quite good with the defects being primarily cosmetic. If you are looking for a nice guide gun, this would fill your need. It is chambered for the .338 Win Mag and could handle most anything except the most ferocious of dangerous game.
