Description
In very good condition, wood is solid with some handling marks. Barrel has lots of patina. The Remington Model 33 is a single-shot, bolt-action .22 rimfire rifle produced between 1932 and 1935 (some sources say 1936), notable as Remington's first production bolt-action rifle. Designed for training and small game, approximately 263,000 units were manufactured, featuring a walnut stock, 24-inch barrel, and a weight of roughly 4.5 lbs. Key Features and Specifications: Action: Simple bolt-action, with a cocking knob at the rear of the bolt. Caliber: .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle. Safety: A safety pin is engaged by pulling back the bolt knob and turning it clockwise. Design Variations: Included a standard 33A and the 33N.R.A. Junior Target model. Production Era: Designed by C.C. Loomis, it was a popular, affordable rifle during the Great Depression, often used for hunting small game. The rifle is known for its light weight and simplicity, making it a suitable, albeit vintage, training rifle. Because they are no longer in production, they are considered collectibles
