Remington ~ Type 4 ~ .43 Spanish

This Remington Rolling Block Type 4 rifle is chambered in .43 Spanish and remains in good antique condition for its age. The rifle retains an attractive wood stock with handling marks, scattered finish wear, and honest signs of service. The metal surfaces show a pleasing aged patina with areas of oxidation consistent with long-term storage and use. The Remington Rolling Block Type 4 was produced during the late 19th century, with examples in .43 Spanish commonly manufactured from the 1870s through the 1880s for military contracts and export sales. Renowned for its simple, exceptionally strong rolling block action, the design saw widespread use around the world and became one of Remington's most successful military rifles.
