The Ruger 10/22 Takedown is a righthand, semiautomatic rimfire rifle chambered in .22 LR, configured for compact transport and allweather durability. It features a 16.4inch cold hammerforged stainless steel barrel with a 1:16 twist rate and a takedown design that allows the barrel assembly to separate quickly from the receiver for storage or travel. The barrel is threaded 1/2 x 28 and fitted with a thread cap, supporting common rimfire muzzle devices. Ammunition is fed from a detachable 10round BX1 rotary magazine, and the stainless steel receiver is drilled and tapped, accepting the included combination scope base adapter compatible with Weaverstyle and rimfire tipoff mounts.
