Ruger ~ Mini - Thirty ~ 7.62x39mm

The Ruger Mini Thirty Semi-Auto Rifle is a scaled down version of the US M-14, with no selective fire switch, that's chambered for the 7.62x39mm cartridge. The Mini Thirty operates with a very simple Garand-style design that uses a fixed-piston gas system where gas impinges directly upon the operating rod, and a breech bolt locking system. The Mini Thirty action is not sensitive to the type of ammunition it uses, cycling both commercial and military ammo interchangeably. A large extractor and fixed ejector send spent cases flying swiftly to the right of the shooter. No tools are required to quickly fieldstrip the rifle down to a few large parts that are not easily misplaced, and it reassembles just as quickly. This Mini Thirty comes with a blued barrel and receiver, a wooden stock, and a synthetic ventilated hand guard. Texturing on the stock's fore-end and pistol grip afford a solid hold, and a flat, serrated butt-plate keeps the rifle on the shoulder during rapid fire. A ghost ring, adjustable rear aperture sight and a protected, 3-prong post front sight provide for rapid target acquisition, and hold up to rugged use. A flash suppressor narrows the shooter's signature considerably when shooting at night. Integral scope mounts are machined into the receiver for mounting an optical sight with the included Ruger scope rings; and, the receiver is drilled and tapped for installing the included Picatinny rail.
