Specifications
Description
The Ruger Blackhawk is a single-action revolver chambered in 45 Colt, built for shooters who want a traditional six-shot handgun with a 4.62-inch barrel. Its blued alloy steel finish and fixed ramp front sight with an adjustable rear sight give it a classic profile for target and general shooting.
The revolver weighs 2.44 pounds and measures 10.5 inches overall. Its single-action mechanism incorporates a transfer bar that transmits the hammer blow to the firing pin, and the loading gate can only be opened when the hammer and trigger are fully forward, which immobilizes the trigger, hammer and transfer bar during loading or unloading.
