Description
The Ruger M77 Hawkeye Guide Gun is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, built with a 20-inch cold hammer forged stainless steel barrel and a matte stainless finish. It is designed as a lightweight, rugged hunting and general-purpose rifle, with a non-rotating Mauser-type controlled round feed extractor and a fixed blade-type ejector.
The rifle holds 4 rounds and weighs 8.1 pounds. The barrel is threaded 1/2x24 TPI with a 1:10 twist rate and 6 grooves, and it includes a removable radial-port muzzle brake to reduce felt recoil. The LC6 trigger and three-position safety are standard. Iron sights include an adjustable V-notch rear and a large white bead front, and integral Ruger-pattern scope mounts are machined into the receiver.
The stock is a Green Mountain laminate with a soft rubber recoil pad and three 1/2-inch buttpad spacers to adjust length of pull from 12.75 to 14.25 inches. Sling swivel studs are included. The package also includes a muzzle weight for use in place of the brake, and a thread protector.
