Description
The Ruger Hawkeye Hunter is a bolt-action centerfire rifle chambered in 243 Winchester, built for hunting. It uses a Mauser-type controlled round feed with a non-rotating extractor and fixed blade ejector, and a hinged solid-steel floorplate that allows the magazine to be unloaded without cycling each cartridge.
The rifle has a 16.6-inch free-floated, cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel with 5R rifling and 5/8x24 threads, with a factory-installed thread protector. The one-piece stainless steel bolt, LC6 trigger, and three-position safety complete the action. The receiver is machined with traditional integral scope mounts, and a 20 MOA Picatinny rail is secured with four #8-40 screws. The rifle has no factory sights, an overall length of 36.6 inches, and weighs 6.7 pounds. It has a 4-round capacity and a right-hand configuration.
