Description
The Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit is an outside-the-waistband paddle holster for right-handed carry, built around the GLS (Grip Lock System) retention mechanism. The GLS automatically secures the handgun when holstered and releases it when the middle finger is applied with a standard shooting grip.
The holster body is made of SafariSeven, a lightweight nylon blend described as non-abrasive to a gun's finish and tolerant of extreme temperatures. The paddle and belt loop are injection-molded, and the belt loop is adjustable and allows cross-draw carry. With the paddle in place, the holster can be worn with or without a belt.
The Pro-Fit design is listed for Springfield XD 5-inch and XDM 4.25-inch and 5.25-inch, Beretta 92, Sig Sauer P226 and P320, FN FNP45, and long-slide models such as the GL34, GL35, and GL17L.
