Sako ~ L579 Forester ~ .308 Winchester

Production of the L579 Forester began in January of 1960. The serial number of this one indicates it was from late 1960 to early 1961, so it is a very early production rifle. It's in above average condition, with most of its blue finish intact and no major wear or damage to the wood. It has "Bofors Steel" stamped on the right side of the barrel, and "FORESTER MADE IN FINLAND" on the left side. The action is smooth and the bore is bright. No box or case.
