Savage ~ 1899 A Takedown Short Rifle ~ .303 Savage

This Savage Model 1899A Takedown Short Rifle was built in 1920. It is also known as the "Saddle Gun" model, and it retains an estimated 75% of the original bluing. The Schnable Forend and stock rate Very Good Plus and show that they were cleaned and refinished at some time in the past. There are proud screws on the stock where the tang sight was removed at some point. The action appears to function well mechanically.
