Savage Axis 2 OD Green 6.5 Creedmoor 20 Threaded Barrel 4-Rounds

Savage Axis 2 Features The Savage Arms Axis 2 pairs a 20 inch matte black threaded barrel with a 1:8 twist rate a rate well matched to the heavier for caliber bullets commonly loaded in 6.5 Creedmoor for long range accuracy. The carbon steel barrel is threaded 5/8x24 allowing shooters to add a muzzle brake or suppressor without gunsmithing. A user-adjustable AccuTrigger breaking between 2.5 and 6 pounds lets the shooter dial in trigger feel for a cleaner break and more consistent shot placement. The carbon steel receiver is drilled and tapped for scope base mounting giving hunters flexibility in choosing their own optic setup. The rifle s OD Green synthetic stock is fixed with a contoured pistol grip and ambidextrous palm swells giving right-hand shooters a comfortable and familiar grip position in the field. A rubber recoil pad helps absorb felt recoil keeping repeated shots comfortable during an extended range session or hunt. An updated ergonomic bolt handle improves control and comfort when cycling the action particularly in cold or wet field conditions. At 6.70 pounds with a detachable 4 round box magazine for 4+1 capacity the Savage Axis 2 is a practical accurate rifle for hunters chasing 6.5 Creedmoor s flat trajectory and mild recoil.
